If
there is a common denominator among City Club’s diverse
membership, perhaps it is this: that the members of City Club
want to better our community. By raising awareness, informing
members and the community of public matters, and creating dynamic
civic dialogue, City Club arouses a sense of obligation to citizenship,
and leads to an active, committed community.
Anyone
can become a member of City Club. City Club offers a monthly dues
payment system. Members can join for only $6.88 (age 30 and under)
or $13.75 (age 31 and up) per month. There has never been a better
time to join Oregon's most lively forum for discussion and debate
on current affairs and issues of civic concern!

Friday
Forums
The
Friday Forum is the hallmark of the City Club of Portland. Broadcast
on radio and cable television, this weekly public forum offers
members the opportunity to listen to and exchange ideas with
speakers who address issues on a wide spectrum of topics, from
policy and government to education and the arts.
When
City Club was founded, its motto was "harmony through diversity."
Over the years, the varied and sometimes controversial speakers
gracing our Friday Forum podium have personified that sentiment.
From City Club’s regular "state of" speeches
by political leaders, to panel discussions on the hottest topics
of the day, City Club continues to be Oregon’s premier
public affairs forum.
As
a City Club member, you may:
- Attend
Oregon’s most respected public affairs forums for free.

a $2 discount on Friday Forum luncheon tickets.
