New Leaders Council Meeting

City Club's New Leaders Council offers opportunities for civic involvement and brings together Portland's dynamic young adults for information, interaction and action—and fun! In 2009, New Leaders Council (NLC) expanded its events-based focus to also include leadership development and outreach. NLC members direct their efforts toward one or more of these areas in order to create the greatest impact on Portland and its future leaders.

The Council welcomes new participants! The first Monday of each month, City Club's New Leaders Council meets to plan events, develop leadership programs and determine new and great ways to reach out to Portland's young adult community. Each meeting ends with a half-hour "Leadership Spotlight," during which community leaders speak about their lives, interests and views on leadership. Past speakers include Eileen Brady, Co-Founder of New Seasons and Steve Bass, President and CEO of Oregon Public Broadcasting. Each meeting ends with drinks and socializing at a downtown bar.
