New Leaders Council Events

NLC Bull Run Headwaters Tour

New Leaders Council programs connect the best and brightest of Portland’s future leaders with the community in which they live. Low-cost events include walking tours of neighborhoods or natural areas, leadership trainings and viewings of local theater or cinema productions. The Council also provides leadership training and opportunities, as well as access to elected officials, policymakers and community leaders. New Leaders Council activities are a catalyst for engaging City Club’s next generation of leaders in civic activities.

NLC is proud to host City Club's Mentorship Program, which pairs two City Club members based on personal or professional interests. This program builds new relationships and connect civically minded mentors and mentees across areas of interest, expertise and experience. NLC is currently seeking more mentors, particularly in the areas of law, non-profit management, sustainability and government. Learn more about the mentorship program, sign up to be matched in June, 2012 or email the mentorship program.

NLC members direct their efforts toward one or more of these areas in order to create the greatest impact on Portland and its future leaders.
