In Exit Wounds, photographer Jim Lommasson gives view and voice to American veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. His photo collages, made up of thousands of photos taken by the artist and by the soldiers he interviewed, emotionally illustrate soldiers’ experiences in war and the war’s effects on themselves, their families and those caught in the crossfire.
Save the date: On the evening of November 12, Jim Lommasson and veteran Eddie Black will speak at City Club Commons about the photographs and about soldiers’ experiences of war and returning home. This event is co-sponsored by the Returning Veterans Project.
