Current Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Joe Sixta receives his 2009 Member of the Year Award

Looking for a new project? A volunteer-led organization, City Club always has interesting opportunities for those who want to get engaged in the community. From event planning to outreach to research, there is something to interest everyone.

The list below illustrates our most pressing volunteers needs, but is by no means comprehensive. Descriptions of all committees are available on the City Club Committees page, and you can find out more about the different program areas by exploring the What We Do section. If there is an area you'd like to be involved in that isn't listed, we encourage you to contact us or talk to other Club members to find the right volunteer position for you!

Now Recruiting!

Do you spend lots of time on Facebook or Twitter? City Club's Agora committee is looking for a volunteer who can post all Agora events on social media websites. Contact Amy if you would like to help spread the word about City Club's great events.

The Membership Committee is currently recruiting City Club members to join the committee. The committee is responsible for recruiting and welcoming new members, as well as ensuring that current members are informed and involved. Please contact membership@pdxcityclub.org.

City Club's New Leaders Council offers opportunities for civic involvement and brings together Portland's dynamic young adults for information, action and fun! NLC is seeking volunteers [PDF] for its events, outreach and leadership sub-committees.

Citizen Salons bring together City Club members’ love of good food and great conversation in intimate settings, while at the same time supporting City Club’s vital mission. The Citizen Salon program is looking for hosts for the second wave of our Citizen Salon series. Please contact Amy with any questions or additional information.
