Recommended by Liz Crain, author of the Food Lover's Guide to Portland, this book includes profiles of farms and cheesemakers, explanations of how various cheeses are made, how to choose and store cheese and what to drink with various types of cheese. Author Tami Parr and guest attendee Steve Jones will answer your questions regarding everything you always wanted to know about cheese.
Tami Parr is the President of the Oregon Cheese Guild and the author of the blog The Pacific Northwest Cheese Project, as well as numerous magazine and newspaper articles. She lives in Portland.
Steve Jones is the owner of Steve's Cheese at 2321 NW Thurman. His tiny store features 150-200 cheeses focusing on small producers and farms. He is a frequent speaker at events and classes.
