Civic Workshops

Civic Workshops provide advocates and City Club members with the skills necessary for creating civically active communities. Click here reserve your space at an upcoming Civic Workshop.

Want to make a difference in your community? Need to grow your professional network? Have to develop skills for your current activities?

Consider joining us for a workshop to learn fundamental skills from successful and engaged professionals. Workshops cover a broad range of skills, including effective facilitation, lobbying elected officials, activating your community. Each one is taught by experts and is designed to build competencies for both budding and experienced professionals.

Each month City Club will host professionals to provide trainings covering a variety of subjects. All events will:

  • Conclude with the development of a complete, tangible skill
  • Provide opportunities for participants to engage with similarly interested professionals
  • Be conducted by experts, instructing on skills needed to enhance civic activation

Develop your skills while engaging with Portland and Oregon leaders. Join us for one of our upcoming workshops. Civic Workshops are open to the public ($5) and free for City Club members.

Special thanks to all the experts who have shared their knowledge with us.
